6. Using the
Digital Drum Software & Game
This chapter discusses
the VirtualDrumX Software program including the Game program.
First is a discussion of what you need to do before starting the
program, followed by a discussion of the operation of the
program.
6.1 Before
Starting the VirtualDrumX Software Program
This section shows how
to verify your computerˇ¦s settings and lists some checks to insure
that your drum-beats can be synchronized with music playing on the
CD-ROM. You may first need to exit certain programs as noted in
this section.
1.Before launching
the VirtualDrumX software, please enable (unmute) your volume
control and set the speakers to a comfortable volume level for
music playback. You may want to play some music on your CD-ROM
first to adjust the volume level while playing the
music.
2.Turn-off any screen-saver
programs by setting the screen-saver default as None.
This setting can be accessed under the Display section of your
Windows® Control Panel (left-click on START, then select
SETTINGS, then click on Control Panel, and double click on
Display).(Figure

software).
